Importance and distribution

Amazonotheca comprises two species known on two host plants, Neea madeirana (Nyctaginaceae) and Santiria nitida (Burseraceae). Amazonotheca is reported from Asia (Philippines) and South America (Brazil). Amazonotheca species are epiphytic and contribute to litter decomposition (Yao et al. 2019).
