Index Fungorum number: IF 554213; Facesoffungi number: FoF 04052, 2 morphological species (Species Fungorum 2022), 2 species with molecular data.

Saprobic on Cycas sp. Sexual morph: Unknown. Asexual morph: Coelomycetous. Conidiomata pycnidial, solitary, gregarious or confluence, immersed, unilocular, globose, dark brown, ostiolate. Ostiole papillate. Peridium composed of thick-walled cells of textura angularis, brown. Conidiophores reduced to conidiogenous cells. Conidiogenous cells phialidic, ampulliform, hyaline, smooth-walled. Conidia fusiform to cylindrical, guttulate, continuous, straight or slightly curved, aseptate, obtuse at apex and base, sometimes slightly truncate at base, hyaline or pale brown, smooth-walled (adapted from Wanasinghe et al. 2018).

Type species: Cycasicola goaensis Wanas., E.B.G. Jones & K.D. Hyde

Notes: Cycasicola is unique in having globose, unilocular conidiomata with papillate ostiole, phialidic, ampulliform, hyaline conidiogenous cells and fusiform to cylindrical, continuous, hyaline to pale brown, aseptate, guttulate conidia.
